Updates on Tool Cabinet

Under bench cabinets made with plans from Fine woodworking Mag. The drawers and cabinets are plywood and the false drawer faces are Pecan plywood with Pecan hardwood edging. Then I stained them to look like Walnut.

The draw insert was made with 2 1/4" sheets of mdf. The top one was traced with outlines of tools and then cutout. Then I glued the two pieces together and covered them with flocking.

Under Bench Tool Cabinets

Here are two tool cabinets I am making to go underneath my new bench. There cases are made from 3/4 ply and the drawers are made from 1/2 ply with box joints. I ordered all 8 pairs of slides from Woodworkers hardware for $50.

New Workbench

A couple of pics of my new bench I made back in November to replace my first bench which had served its purpose. Unfortunately the top had sunk in the middle creating an 1/8th inch gap that was driving me crazy. So I made a new bench out of laminated 3/4 ply and it uses mortise and tenon joinery. It has two coats of Satin poly.

Nick's Dresser

Dresser I made for my oldest son Nick. I used Birch ply and Hardwood Cherry.
